We're gearing up for another year of great music and performances at Folsom High School! Our Statewide and Nationally recognized ensembles include marching bands, concert bands, string orchestras, jazz bands, winter guard, and percussion groups. Some groups practice during the school day as scheduled classes while others such as the marching band require attendance after school on weeknights and weekends.

We look forward to sharing the fruits of our hard work as you support your students at performance, practices, and competitions.

We also need your financial and volunteer support. The Folsom High School Music program's success depends upon an ongoing partnership between the directors and the Folsom High School Music Boosters, a nonprofit organization of families and friends dedicated to supporting the Folsom High School instrumental and jazz programs.

In a typical year, donations are needed to fund additional staff support and music coaches who assist the directors. Donations also cover music repertoire, instruments, classroom supplies, competitions, workshops with world -class artists, and more. Each year we calculate costs for each ensemble, divide by students participating and determine a suggested tax-deductible donation. The amounts for these "asks" are determined when budgets are finalized.

As a public school, we guarantee access to all students who want to participate in the music program, regardless of financial contribution.

Parent volunteers also help to plan, budget, raise funds, and staff events such as; All that Jazz, Folsom Jazz Festival, Holiday Festival, and Wine & Jazz. Throughout the year, we need ushers for performances, chaperones for competitions, helpers to prepare and serve food, builders to create and move props...and leaders to help organize our efforts!
